Murari Kumar
Murari Kumar, an Indian actor, embarked on his acting journey with ACT One Theater Group in Delhi. Over the past 15 years, he has graced the silver screen with his presence in various Hindi films, showcasing his talent in memorable roles such as Guddu in “Gangs of Wasseypur Part 2,” as well as in films like “Black Friday,” “Gulaal,” “Ugly,” “Raman Raghav,” and “Vaisa bhi hota hai.” His association with acclaimed director Anurag Kashyap has been significant in shaping his career trajectory. Beyond films, Murari Kumar has also made his mark in the theater world, collaborating with renowned figures like Makrand Deshpande and participating in productions such as “WHAT WHAT WHAT…POLICE POLICE POLICE” and “CRUPTION KUMARI URF AUGUST PACHASO BAAR.” Additionally, he has lent his voice to Radio City’s “Babbar Sher” and recently portrayed the role of Treasurer in the web series “Maharani” on Sony Liv. Acting is not the choice I made in my life this is how I reflect life around and within.It brought me to stages and into the spotlight.Now I am still wandering and searching for more shades around.
Sometimes I play the character and sometimes character plays me.
My stage presence started with ACT One theatre group in Delhi. There i acted in two production.(1.)WHAT WHAT WHAT…POLICE POLICE POLICE, (2) CRUPTION KUMARI URF AUGUST PACHASO BAAR.In 1996 i came to mumbai and worked with Makrand deshpande in ANSH THEATRE GROUP.There i acted in one production 1947 DOWN.I participated in many theatre festival under guidance of Ms Sanjana kapoor.
Have acted in various hindi films in last 15 years of which the most notable characters are Guddu in Gangs of Wasseypur part 2, Gulal, Black Friday, Ugly, Raman Raghav,Vaisa bhi hota hai,D compny, ID,Vakratund mahakaay.I have mainly been associated with Anurag Kashyap. I was also the one of the voice in Radio City’s Babbar Sher.
In the latest web series I played a role of Treasurer in Maharani which was recently aired on Sony Liv.
My upcoming movies are Titu weds sheru, Zindgi hasal hai,
